Senior J2EE Developer The candidate will be developing and documenting a new Web Services interfaces to access functionality provided by a new application. The candidate should have experience developing Web Services in a J2EE environment. Experience with JBOSS application server and Apache AXIS is required. IT Training and Development Specialist:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary focus of this position is to support, design and conduct training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. This position serves as a technical point of contact for the training and development team who assists subject matter experts and departments within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and Conducts Training: Develops, implements, and delivers training programs via live and online courses for varying levels within the organization. Develops and maintains support material to be used for reference once training has been completed.Evaluating and Reporting (25% of time): Evaluates training progress and training procedures to monitor and analyze course effectiveness and update curriculum as needed. Consults with managers and subject matter experts at vary levels within the organization to assess training needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Consulting experience including developing custom training solutions with excellent and verifiable student reviews/evaluations.
  • Microsoft and Cloud (MCSE, MCSD, MCDBA, MCTS, MCITP, MCT (active)) (substitution of job experience applicable)
  • Identify training and development needs within an organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes andconsultation with managers and human resources departments
  • Design and expand training and development programs based on the needs of the organization and the individual
  • Consider the costs of planned programs and keep within budgets as assessing the return on investment of any training or development program is becoming increasingly important.
  • Manage the delivery of training and development programs and, in a more senior role, devise a training strategy for the organization.
  • Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
  • Evaluate training and development programs
  • Help line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers
  • Draw an overall or individualized training and development plan that addresses needs and expectations.
